Currently, facilities for essential oil extraction, plant extract preparation, antimicrobial and different bioassays for exploration of medicinal potential of MAPs are also available at the laboratory of NMAP&HP. Different local and exotic MAPs are being maintained at glass house for acclimatization and propagation studies. Trachyspermumammi (Ajwain), Foeniculum vulgare (Saunf) and Trigonellafoenum-graecum (Methi) germplasm is being characterized for morphological and biochemical diversity and medicinal potential.
