- Collection and selection of forage germplasm from indigenous and exotic resources adapted to different ecological conditions of Pakistan
- Development of range improvement techniques and grazing systems suited to different range ecological zones
- Evaluation of forage quality through bio-chemical analysis, feeding and digestion trials
- Integration of improved forage and range technology into the economically viable and environmentally sound rangeland production systems
- Human resource development of both graduate students and farmers/pastoralists
- To attend all other duties/functions assigned by the higher management of NARC/ PARC from time to time.
- Development of liaison/coordination with national/international organizations and universities and submission of projects to seek funding from national and international donors.
