(Collaboration / Joint Venture for Certified Seed Potato Production)

The National Institute for Genomics and Advanced Biotechnology (NIGAB), under the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), and Korea Partnership for Innovation of  Agriculture (KOPIA) invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from reputed institutions, research organizations, and public and private seed companies for collaboration or joint ventures under the PSDP project Pakistan-Korea Joint Program on Certified Seed Potato Production System.

The collaboration aims to develop and commercialize an efficient and sustainable certified seed potato production system through the integration of biotechnological tools, tissue culture and aeroponic techniques, and pathogen-free seed multiplication of advance generations under screen houses and field.

The proposed partnership may include joint research and development, capacity building, technology exchange, establishment of certified seed potato production facilities, and infrastructural or technical assistance for quality assurance, testing, and certification processes.

Interested parties are invited to submit their EOI, with following information:

  • Registration with National Seed Development and Regulatory Authority (NSDRA)/FSC&RD for seed multiplication
  • A brief institutional/company profile
  • Relevant experience in potato tissue culture and seed potato multiplication
  • Details of technical, infrastructural and marketing capabilities
  • Interested areas of collaboration or joint venture
  • Summaries of executed or ongoing similar seed related activities, if any

Proposals must reach the office of the undersigned by 31st December, 2025.
