E-Office Training Workshops Conducted by PARC MIS Team at SARC Karachi and Regional Research Establishments in Sindh
As part of the Government of Pakistan’s digital transformation initiative and the nationwide implementation of the E-Office platform under the NITB; The Directorate of MIS PARC from Hqrs, Islamabad, organized a series of hands-on training workshops at various PARC research centers in Sindh, including PARC-SARC Karachi, AZRC Umerkot, SSRI Tandojam, WAWMI Tandojam, NSTHRI Thatta, and CARI Lasbella. 1. Training Workshop at PARC-SARC, Karachi Date: May 29, 2025 Venue: PARC-SARC, Karachi A comprehensive training workshop was held at the Southern Zone Agricultural Research Centre (SARC), Karachi. The session was led by Mr. Amanullah, Director (MIS) including Mr. Muhammad Younas, Deputy Director (MIS) and Mr. Muhammad Jawad, Assistant Director (MIS). The workshop was attended by scientists, officers, and administrative staff of PARC-SARC. It was formally inaugurated by Dr. Zakir Hussain Dahri, Director General, PARC-SARC, who welcomed the team and emphasized the critical role of digital platforms in enhancing institutional efficiency and transparency. Participants were provided with practical demonstrations of E-Office functionalities, including digital file movement, approval workflows, and inter-departmental communication tools. 2. Training Workshop for Employees of CARI, Lasbella, and PARC-SARC Date: June 3, 2025 Venue: Committee Room, PARC-SARC The second training session was specifically arranged for the scientists and administrative officials of the Coastal Agricultural Research Institute (CARI), Lasbella, Balochistan, along with additional participants from PARC-SARC. Held at the Committee Room of PARC-SARC, the workshop focused on enabling regional staff to effectively integrate E-Office into their daily research and administrative activities. The MIS team presented real-case scenarios and guided the participants through the E-Office system to ensure smooth adaptation. At the conclusion of both sessions, Dr. Zakir Hussain Dahri, Director General, PARC-SARC, expressed his appreciation for the MIS team’s commitment and expertise. He particularly acknowledged the efforts of Mr. Amanullah, Mr. Muhammad Younis, and Mr. Javad in delivering effective and engaging training. The Director General, PARC-SARC also highlighted the importance of digital adoption in improving internal workflows, promoting institutional transparency, and ensuring timely service delivery. He congratulated the MIS team for the successful execution of training across various PARC centers, expressing optimism that this initiative would lead to more efficient documentation, streamlined operations, and enhanced accountability throughout the organization.
