Directorate of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E)

        Functions of Directorate of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation:

 

  • Determine National Research Priorities and develop research projects in line with these priorities;
  • Propose allocation of resources to these priorities;
  • Prepare and update National Agricultural Research Plan and link with 5 years Development Plan of GOP prepared by Planning Commission; and
  • Prepare and maintain various data series required for priority setting, plan preparation and resource allocation.
  • Establish appropriate procedures required to monitor, review and evaluate projects/programs/institutes;
  • Monitor and evaluate research progress of on-going projects/programs;
  • Arrange third party evaluation/assessment of research programs/projects and provide feed back for improvement; and
  • Conduct the impact assessment of agricultural research projects and programs and undertake performance assessment of agricultural research institutions.
