One Day Farmer’s Field Training on “Modern Nursery Raising Techniques for Tomato Crop” was conducted in Horticulture Research Institute, on dated 16/11/2016 in collaboration with Directorate of Short Course NARC, keeping in view the importance of tomato crop in our routine livelihood.
In this training, more than 20 farmers/growers including women were participated. The main objective of this training was to trained farmers/growers to develop modern nursery raising by them self to grow this crop rather than purchase nursery from market which are often not able to produce fruit.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan, DG, NARC promised the farmers/growers that PARC/NARC will cooperate with farmers/growers in all aspects in growing nurseries for tomato crop. The farmers are not only able to use this nursery for their own use, but also adopt this profession as business, he added. He also appreciated the participation of women in this training.
Dr. Taj Naseeb Khan, the coordinator/In-charge, Vegetable Programme, briefly highlighted the objectives and importance of this training programme in the start.
Mr. Sabir Hussain, a participant appreciated PARC/NARC management for conducting such informative training programmes. He is a grower of different types of vegetable nurseries. He urged that Director General, NARC or Officer Concerned Vegetable must visit to his nursery farm for better production and support.
Dr. Muhammad Riaz Chattha, Director Short Courses, was expressed vote thanks to chief guest, Dir (Admin), NARC for his support and also all the participants of the training.
The certificates were awarded to all the participants by chief guest at the end of the training.
