Islamabad: Elections for 2021-23 of Pakistan Agricultural Research Council Scientists Association (PARSA) was held this Wednesday. The Azizullah Shah Scientist’s Panel made significant gains, in which Mr. Aziz Ullah Shah, Director Land Resources won PARSA presidency while Dr. Rehana Kausar won for vice president. Furthermore Mr. Muhammad Anwar as General Secretary Mr. Jalal Hayat Khan as Joint Secretary, Mr. Javed Iqbal as Finance Secretary and Dr. Sajjad Khan as Information Secretary took over the positions.
The newly elected members pledged to do their utmost for the development of the council and the welfare of the scientists. President PARSA, Mr. Aziz Ullah Shah while expressing his gratitude to all his supporters said that his team will work hard to promote research and development and will raise every issue of scientists at every forum, including house hiring, promotion, inter-provincial liaison, training, non-statutory change, and scientist awards.
Dr. Rehana Kausar, newly elected Vice President, said that only by adopting modern technology and innovative methods, the institution can be stabilized and the country's economy can be developed. There is a need to make hard work and dedication so that the country moves towards the goal of agricultural self-sufficiency.
