PARC Multan Station organized Wheat Seminar on “Profitable Cultivation of Wheat and its Field Demonstration in Multan Region

In this seminar and field demonstration more than 150 farmers of area, 20 participants/scientists of the “Wheat Travelling Seminar 2021”, Scientists from Wheat Program NARC, PRTS Multan, AZRI, Bahawalpur, RARI, Bahawalpur, Soil Chemist Soil Fertility Lodhran, Faculty Members of Agri. College IUB & CIDS IUBand GM Doaaba Foundation/Chief Editor Dooaba Gazzett participated the event.

The Chief Guests of the ceremony were Mr. Shehzad Sabir Director Agri. Extension Multan Division & Malik Muhammad Yousaf Director Arid Zone Research Institute, PARC, Bahawalpur. Being the “Guest of Honor”  Dr. Attiqur ur Rehman Rattu National Coordinator (Wheat) represented the worthy Chairman PARC & Member Plant Sciences Division PARC, Islamabad along 20 scientists of Wheat Travelling Seminar.They appreciated this fruitful seminar for “Profitable cultivation of wheat and Demonstration of Zincol Wheat on Ridge Sowing in the Southern Punjab”, While all the distinguished guests were warmly welcome by Mr. Mumtaz Hussain Director PRTS, Multan, Dr. Sikadar Khan Program Leader Wheat, NARC, Islamabad &Mr. Muhammad Zafar Deputy Director Agri (Ext) Lodhran.

Meanwhile, Dr. Skindar Khan Program Leader (Wheat) gave detailed presentation on Profitable Cultivation of Wheat. The participants particularly the farmers of Southern Punjab took keen interest in the lectures.Engr. Muhammad Shahid, Scientific Officer,NARC briefed about efficient utilization of irrigation water.Mr. Liaqat Ali Wahla presented for proper control of rodents to store wheat. After lectures being the “Seeing is Believing Concept” all participants of  seminar and field day including farmers and scientists and officers, Chief Guests, Wheat Travelling Seminar Participants were given demonstration by Dr. Sikandar Khan Program Leader & Mumtaz Hussain Director/PSO PRTS Multanand both gave the detail of Ridge Sowing of Zincol Wheat in the area as first time to demonstrate and disseminate in the region.

At the End Mr. Mumtaz Hussain Director PRTS, Multan thanked all the participants from across the country, the local farmers and acknowledged their interest of learning and to adopt innovative production technology practices. He also thanked the Chief Guests & Guest of Honor and particularly the Key speaker Dr. Sikandar Khan on delivering key note lecture to the participants and ensured his continuous support to promote innovative technologies in Southern Punjab.
