Hons) in Agriculture-Plant Breeding and Genetics in 2005 and received his M.S. degree from the PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi Pakistan in 2008, working on Morphological and Molecular Characterization of Multiple Ovary Wheat Germplasm. He conducted his research work at Wheat Wide Crosses and Cytogenetic Lab, NARC, Islamabad and also assisted the same program in a capacity of Research Fellow in the project entitled “Utilizing new genetic resources derived from the three wild diploid progenitors for wheat improvement” .

And later on in another project entitled “Securing some key biotic stress resistances in wheat varieties of Pakistan around gene and varietal deployment strategies with emphasis on recombination breeding aided by molecular technologies" In May 2009, Mr. Yahya joined Barani Agriculture Research Institute, Chakwal for more permanent position in a rainfed culture and worked on the development of nutrient use efficient wheat germplasm for food security in rainfed areas of Pakistan.
