Islamabad, April 8…………Mr. Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research (NFS&R) Tuesday appreciated the efforts of H.E. Alfredo Leoni, Ambassador of Brazil to Pakistan for the promotion of agriculture sector in Pakistan on the occasion of a Farewell Party arranged in his honour at a local hotel in Islamabad.
Mr. Sikandar Hayat Bosan said Mr. Alfredo during his stay here helped to develop strong relations between Pakistan and Brazil in agriculture sector. He also highlighted his trip to Brazil. He said such trips bring countries together and go a long way in forging collaborative initiatives for more productive relationship. He said the doors of our country are always open for Mr. Alfredo.
On this occasion Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad, Chairman Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) said the Embassy of Brazil in Islamabad joined hands with PARC in various projects and sharing experiences for the promotion and development of agriculture sector in Pakistan particularly food and nutritional security. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad also presented PARC Commemorative Shield to the Brazilian Ambassador in recognition of his contributions.
On this occasion Mr. Alfredo Leoni, Brazilizan Ambassador said his country will continue support to Pakistan. He said that Brazil was having advanced agriculture technologies and it will help Pakistan to develop its agriculture sector.
Mr. Seerat Asghar, Secretary Ministry of National Food Security and Research (MNFSR), Mr. Rajab Ali Khan Baloch, Parliamentary Secretary MNFSR and other dignitaries also expressed satisfaction over the developing relations between both the countries.
