Biosaline Agriculture Centre (BAC) of United Arab Emirates.

PARC and Biosaline Agriculture Centre (BAC), UAE, signed an MOU on 11th April, 2000 at Islamabad, to contribute agricultural research and development for appropriate utilization and management of natural resources  in a sustainable manner,particularly in case of  saline land , saline water and appropriate salt tolerant genetic material.

As of October 2000. The PARC and BAC have started first phase of the project by building  linkages with research institutions  in Pakistan and Gulf Arab countries on sustainable use of sandy lands and use of brackish water for crop production in such lands.

The BAC is now (April, 2001) International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA).
